I think my opinion of Soultz is badly affected by my opinion of the hotel we stayed in. On our first night here I really hated the place.
However the next afternoon we got our hands on a little walking tour leaflet (your hotel should have one) and as we explored I felt better about the place.
We found Soultz does have a history and a story to tell. There are nice spots, like the town square, but there are also older areas which are in dire need of restoration - and these are on the walking tour so are probably the most interesting parts of town.
There is also a severe lack of suitable eating and drinking establishments - there were several we passed which I did not really fancy going into.
I was quite glad to leave and move onto Colmar.
