Transport Strasbourg - Viene - Budapest - Prague - Berlin

by hibrz

Hello all, I will be traveling in some countries of Central and I want your help to know if you can write me some options to travel between Strasbourg - Viene - Budapest - Prague - Berlin. Is it possible to do everything by train? Or by bus? Is there any kind of "pass" that I can buy for all the trips? Does it have buses between these cities everyday?
My plan is:

Strasbourg 4 days
Viene 5 days
Budapeste 4 days
Prague 3 days

in the 5th day travel between Strasbourg - Viene
in the 10th day travel between Viene - Budapeste
in the 14th day travel between Budapeste and Prague
in the 17th day travel between Prague and Berlin

I do not like to travel during the night or arrive late night in the cities, but if necessary it would be ok.
Thanks a lot!

Maybe you can try this company.
You take the bus in all the big cities: http://www.eurolines.com but i think you will have to travel during the night, you will save a lot of time and money for the hotel!

Or there is this one by train, but I suppose it will be a bit more expensive, have a look at the conditions before buying the ticket: http://www.interrail.net/index2.php?language=en

Have a good trip!!!

PS: I am from Strasbourg, you shouldn't stay all the 4 days in the city but visit Colmar and the Haut-Koenigsbourg or the Mont Saint Odile.

Travel Tips for Strasbourg

Visit the Cathedral and the surrounding streets, they are beautiful and very inspiring My fondest memory of Strasbourg was drinking beer on the river bank with my German friends. There were swans and pleasure craft and the sun was shining, there was also poverty as there was a tramp asleep under the road bridge....makes you apprecate how fortunate you are.

Bridges

by bugulma

There are many bridges in the old city and I think this one is my favorite. It is Pont De La Fonderie, just opposite Palais de Justice on Quai Kellermann. They all are not big ones but their small size make them cute in my opinion.

by mignonne

The vendors usually speak 3 major languages, French( Bien sûr!!), English and also German, as Strasbourg is just beside Germany, there are lots of German tourists here. For greeting: 'Bonjour' means hello in French, 'Merci' -Thank You, 'Bonne journée' -have a good day.

Place Marche Gayot.

by steventilly about Place Marche Gayot.

Lively square, quite near to the University sector, so with a good student-y sort of crowd. The square is taken up almost entirely by cafes and bars, and you can just flit from one to the next. Anything, really.

French cuisine

by codrutz about Venezia

Before ordering meat dishes you better ask the waiter about it's degree of "grilling" :) I've ordered some veal and it came out that my dish was some eight laser cutted raw slices of meat, with nothing else than olive oil on top and some pasta on a separate dish. So much for french cuisine for me thank you :) Next time I will try their flambe pizzas.
