Short walk from Gare du Strasbourg
This is a small and quite basic hotel where you get what you pay for. I had no complaints as it was clean and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Room was small but it had all I needed including a fan, which was a huge plus. The location was especially appealing to me as it was a very short walk from the train station. It also had several eateries in close proximity and a lovely little mini mart downstairs which sold nice fresh fruit, freshly made salads, salamis, ham and wonderful cheeses.
Unique Quality: The breakfast buffet was most enjoyable for 8 Euro. My single room cost 43 Euro per night, so I had no complaints whatsoever.

Hotel Victoria
I booked this hotel through bookings.org, which by the way I found through OneTime.com, so I take back all the snide remarks I used to make about OneTime.
The hotel is quite basic, but clean, near the station and reasonably priced. The street Rue du maire Kuss is reputed in Strasbourg to be a dangerous area, but frankly I didn't find it so terrifying since I am used to bigger cities.
They were very nice about letting me park my bike in the lobby overnight.
This is a totally non-smoking hotel, which was another plus point for me.
Second photo: The modest breakfast buffet was overpriced at EUR 6.90, but I had breakfast there anyway all three days because it was pleasant and convenient, and because they provided copies of the local paper to read.
