I need to get to the Frankfurt Hahn Airport on a saturday morning (not later than 5.30 am) from Strasbourg.
Do you know what is the best (cheapest/fastest) way to get there without renting a car? and to get back?

I think the best way would be getting a local train from Strasbourg to Saar- bruecken and then the bus to Hahn. But I don't think there are any connections at night, so you'd have to get to Hahn the day before and spend the night there.
Check www.bahn.de for trains and http://www.scherer-reisen.de/airportshuttle_en.php for the bus.
That should be Saarbruecken, one word.
I have been unable to identify this beautiful building that stands behind the Cercle Mixte de la Garnison, etc (see previous tip). It is not right on Place Broglie but can be seen from the Opera. Who can tell me what it is? Anyway, I enjoyed its look but I always prefer to know more!
This is a demonstration by "don' kill animals" group. Two bloody people are laying down in a box, saying "Do not kill animals". I asked them if they wanted a cup of coffee! The answer was, "that would be nice".
This activity together with other "don't kill animals" demonstrations in Place de Kleber - the city center place of Strasbourg.
On one of our tramways trips, we arrived on the Place des Halles and we saw this amazing street climber. Clever, isn't it? Would you do it? Actually, it was not a real climber but a figure that had been fixed on the structure standing in the middle of the square!!
