Hotel room that sleeps 5

by Lizzie_cc

I'm trying to find a hotel in Strasbourg that sleeps 5 (2 adults and 3 children). There must be one! I would be very grateful for any help you can give. Thank you.
ps. ages of children are 5, 12, and 14

Neighbor bedrooms with sharing mean passing door will help you. Or, flats in Strasbourg...

Hi,

Try the Citea Strasbourg ;

http://www.citea.com/hotel/en/Apparthotel/50/51/Description/Citea-Strasbourg-Illkirch.html

They have two room apartments which have a double in the bedroom plus a pullout couch. They may be able to put a foldaway bed in for you. Its in the suburbs but handy enough with a tram stop not far away. Also book through a discount web site such as Hotelclub.net or hotels.co.uk to get a better rate.

Or try : http://www.lejsbach.com/

The Jean-Sebastien Bach residence is a 4 star establishment close to the European Parliament buildings. It also has a two room suite which may suit.

Good luck,
John

Top 2 sights

My two favourite sights are everyone's favourite sights, in all fairness. Number 1 is the Notre-Dame Cathedral, a fascinatining Gothic building with tall spires, anornate façade, and a huge astronomical clock. It was meant to have two towers originally, but eventually one was left out: money matters, it seems. Somewhere near a shop opposite the main entrance - in the shop window i think - there's a particular angle from where you can catch the reflection of the cathedral with two towers, like in the original design.

My top sight number 2 is the Petite France quarter. It's a scenic corner along the canal, near a lock, and all surrounded by typical half-timbered houses with flowers on their balconies. there are also a few tiny bridges by the riverside and plenty of quaint cafés to sit down and enjoy life

Place de la République, Christmas tramway

by JLBG

For Christmas, during the whole month of December, some of the tramways (not all the trains) on line C had been decorated with holly and illuminated fir tree stickers that made them look almost like a fancy train bringing toys to the children!

Comptoir des rois Mages, Place Benjamin Zix 1

by JLBG

On Place Benjamin Zix, close to Place des Meuniers, with the Irréductibles Petits Producteurs Alsaciens and next to the Petite France, there are only a dozen booth and it is much less crowded than on Place Broglie. This market is called Comptoir des Rois Mages (the Wise Men Trading Post), hence the (wooden!) camels at the entrance!

Well facilitated Italian restaurant, and Cheap!

by Bob_Shan about Bistro Romain

This is a big restaurant close to the place Kleber, with easy but rather cosy settings. Two candles were placed on each table , making the atmosphere very romantic, especially in a cold winter night. "All you can eat - Carparicco"
Very flesh meat sliced in very thin slices. Put some Lemon, cheese powder, pepper and sault ---- and ---- you can eat as many as possible!!!
Fries was free as well.
