Hi Tony
To help reading schedules: Biarritz (France) close to Spanish border.
San Sebastian (Spain) in Basque country, called Donostia in Basque.
Border towns are Hendaye(French name), Hendaia (Basque name); and Irun in Spain, 5 kms from Hendaia.

I just took the train Bordeaux-Irun, don't remember that we stopped in Hendaia. But maybe trains going fm Biarritz all stop in Hendaia. You would usually go Biarritz La Négresse station to Irun (Estacion Colòn) on French trains, then you can take Euskotren from Irun to Donostia/San Sebastian.
Same thing other way 'round to return to France.

Euskotren called TOPO also stops in Hendaia. I don't know what train you're taking fm Biarritz, if it stops in Hendaye or Irun or both, but wherever, you'll have a Euskotren to Donostia (and back)
I see TOPO euskotren travels from Donostia to Irun and Hendaia on Sundays but can't understand their site. TOPO is a small train btw. Site in Spanish and Basque: euskotren.es
I once heard that taxi Biarritz to San Sebastian would be around 60 Euros but don't quote me.
And then there are buses, like Alsa :) Sorry, it's complicated but I just did that train route and even helpful locals on forums argued with each other in replying to my questions LOL

From what I remember there is a regular, cheap coach service from Irun (town on the Spanish border) to San Sebastian, which might be a good alternative.

All the trains from Biarritz southwards stop at Hendaye, not all go across the border into Irun.

Little matter, because the Euskotren station at Hendaye is right outside the main station and their little trains run every 30 minutes from there to Donostia/San Sebastian. The journey takes about 40 - 45 minutes depending on which station in Donostia you need.

Similarly in the reverse direction, you can take a train to Hendaye and then a French train from there to Biarritz.

Only trouble is that the French trains are very irregular; Sunday afternoon trains Hendaye to Biarrtitz leave at:

1407
1600
1722
1816
1857

So plan your return journey carefully.

Hope that helps.

Travel Tips for Biarritz

La Plage Miramar

by Klod5

Poste MNS :
Tél : 05 59 24 34 98
Juin, septembre : de 11h00 à 19h00
Juillet et août : de 10h00 à 19h00

Club enfant :
Club de Monsieur Brisson, 5 rue Louison Bobet.
It is located rightly under the Thalassa institute, constructs to the site of the old and sumptuous Miramar hotel (created in 1927) and that gave his/her/its name in the beach, one of the more in the fashion of the coast in the years 30. (It was called BERNAIN beach before.)
Facing the beach, the rock of the Frigate is colonized by the seagulls and the cormorants.
Of the beach of the Miramar, one borrows the strange passage rocky and humid Winston - Churchill to pass under the hotel of the Palace and to reach the Big Beach.
