Very high class place. One of the "Leading Hotels" group.
Amazing decor - fine if you like old style.
We had 2 or 3 nights there, and it certainly was an experience.
Great food too!

Once the summer mansion of Napoleon III and empress Eugenia, now restored is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Expensive.

I have stayed in this hotel 4 times. Staff are courteous, friendly and professional. Rooms are clean but they could use better mattresses. Nonetheless, a good 4* hotel in Biarritz. Wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.
Unique Quality: Staff in La Rotunda restaurant are well-trained and efficient. Food is always good. Breakfast buffet costs 30 euro, not exactly a good deal when you look at the variety they offer.

Ok here is the good advice for the not very rich travelers, Hotel du Palais, not far from the Chateau de Versailles, and closer to the Cathedral of St.Luis, it is good to pass the night if you have no friends to stay in their flat like I did :-) 3 Stars
Cocktails at the Bar Imperial of the Du Palais Having dinner at sunset at the outdoor restaurant of the Hotel Du Palais, L´Hippocampe, next to the pool and with a beautiful view of the beach.
