We stayed at the Grand Hotel which is affiliated with Best Western. Like most of their hotels in Europe, they are converted mansions (hotels). This one has 35 rooms from modest to quite ample in size and has the usual 3* facilities. Other reviews show a great variability in size but ours was large and well it. There is no restaurant but an area where an ample buffet breakfast is served (included in the rate). We had a double bed room. The location could not be more central. However, this presents a logistical problem if you are arriving by car. Get driving informaton supplied by the hotel because it is in a pedestrian zone. The taxis know how to deliver you and communicate with the hotel to facilitate this. Moreover, I do not know where you park your car (you will not want it in Bordeaux). The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. Note: The price is for 2 with breakfast. We would stay here again when we come to Bordeaux
