The Musée des Beaux-Arts
by Lilasel
The Musée des Beaux-Arts has a small but worthy selection of European fine art, featuring works by Reynolds, Titian, Rubens, Matisse and Marquet (a native of the city), as well as Delacroix's superb painting of La Grèce sur les ruines de Missolonghi.

I think we got something to drink here.

Palais Rohan/Hotel de Ville
by Gypsystravels
Located just steps away from Cathedral St Andre (at Place Pey Berland) and dominating the center of the old city is the Palais Rohan (or hotel de Ville). The current structure, which parts can be dated to medievil times, owes is name and renovations to the Archbishop Ferdinand Maximilien Mériadec de Rohan.
The building currently houses the town hall of Bordeaux. The Museum of Fine Arts can be found here as well.
Bienvenue a Bordeaux
by Gypsystravels
"Big Clock/La Grosse Cloche"
Bordeaux was a pleasant surprise. We had traveled from Den Haag to the small town of St. Ferme with Sandra as guests to her familie's home. While in St. Ferme we did many day trips and Bordeaux was one of them. We spent a full day discovering Bordeaux and wandering through its streets.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to venture to any of the wineries, next time.
