Overlooking the Golf de Goscogne (ATLANTIC)
The restaurant is quite up-scale; in general we enjoyed the ambiance altho we were there shortly before the season got into swing, so not many people were around. The weather was lovely, though, and an almost cloudless sky.
We were served a beginning hors'doeurve of a seafood/caviar tiny drink! Scrumptious. Each course was elaborately designed on the plate, the service was good. The entree was fresh white asparagas, very delicious! We ordered the plat du jour; mine being lamb chops which were very good, and my husband ordered fish, but had to send it back once, as it was not cooked thru, and the second time it too was underdone, but by then, he was too hungry and my meal was finished. But when we told the waitress, she just shrugged it off. As we live on the water and go fishing and frequently cook and eat many types of fish, we do know when it needs just a minute or two more, so it was disappointing, especially as no concession in price was made. Otherwise, it was a lovely meal.
