"Gemard": Self Catering in a French Farmhouse

This very large farmhouse with a large barn for cars and storage of outdoor games had an enclosed courtyard,with a built in barbecue. The Courtyard led to the separate cottage -equipped for two people and the good size swimming pool was directly in front of the cottage.

Throughout the whole property, furnishings and equipment were of high quality and extremely comfortable. The owner's local representative was on hand to greet us and deal with any problems that arose during our stay.
A generous welcome hamper was provided and there was an internet connection.

Our party consisted of three couples, each used to plenty of living space, and this property was not only a delight to live in but we all had the same level of comfort.

This was a last minute booking, found by my brother on the internet.
Because it was low season, September 20th when our two week booking started, the rent was very reasonable - just under £500 per week (2005 prices). At least 6 more people could have been accommodated with additional infant cots also provided.

Unique Quality: The overall spaciousness of the property and its surroundings; delightful views over fields, vineyards and orchards. Everything about the place in fact. Especially very comfortable beds and good quality bed linen and towels. Plenty of bath/shower rooms.
