Hotel Du Pic D'Anie - Lescun: Cosy hotel with great views

We ended up in Lescun by chance, driving through the Pyrenees in September and were very happy to stumble across this little gem.

We were greeted by very friendly staff and got a lovely cozy room with a gorgeous view of the mountains (see photo). The hotel is a pretty old house and the rooms were slighly dated (bit of a saggy mattress), but all very nicely decorated with antiques and very clean.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing for 5 euros: a heap of stale toasted baguette and one type of marmalade, but that might have to do with the fact that there is not much fresh food available in the village and everything has be carted up for the nearest town.

We didn't get a chance to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant (which we were told served great food) as it was closed for the season.

Would definitely recommend this if you want 2 or 3 days of peace and quiet and a beautiful location in the mountains.
