Chateau de Courtebotte Saint-Emilion

Well, it was supposed to be a castle. Actually it was but really in a very bad condition. The lady was really nice and helpful; she had been the new owner for two weeks. Refurbishment will start in October; the place has a great potential, the garden with the small swimming pool is also cute. But, for this summer (2010) I would rather avoid it. Rooms are also very old, we had a toilet and a camp-site outdoor shower. Everytime I climb the stairs to go upstairs I was afraid they were not safe. Considering that one night rate is 130 euro (breakfast non included and costs 12 euros per person).
