We arrived in C-S-M late in the day and didn't have a lot of time to look for a spot. Les Alizes is right on the water front of the small harbour in C-S-M.
Our initial reaction was not too favourable. The hotel smelled a bit musty in the lobby and the stairwell. But the proprietress was happy to show us the room before we committed to staying. The room was very pleasant. It was been recently renovated with new flooring and furniture. We had big windows opening on to the rear of the hotel for fresh air. We peeked into another room and it also looked as well appointed.
The other great feature was the small bar off the lobby. We popped in for a beer each night and were always treated as honoured guests.
So while Les Alizes may not look like the greatest from the street, it certainly made up for it with comfort and hospitality. We would go back.
ground floor bar. Hospitality. newly furnished rooms.
