Le lieu Mesnil: A rural retreat

This lovely old house set in large grounds with an orchard made a spacious and comfortable holiday home. The oldest part of the house is over 200 years old but has all modern facilities including a very good wifi connection!

However on the ground floor in particular there are a number of different floor levels. Our brains seem to get them all "clocked" very quickly so that we remembered when to duck, and when to step up or down.
The main, large full bathroom is on the ground floor where there is also an additional separate toilet,
The patio runs the whole length of the house and is in sun from morning to sunset.

Upstairs there are two large double bedrooms, sharing a small shower room accessed from one of the double bedrooms - as is the good sized bunkbeds room.
A point to bear in mind depending on the composition of your party!

Anyone with as severe mobility problem could find the stairs difficult.

There were apples, plums, blackberries and sloes in abundance - all of which guests are invited to pick.

Although next door to a working farm the house was secluded and very peaceful and located about 1 km from the village of Crevecoeur-en-Auge.

Unique Quality: A characterful house, tastefully and comfortably furnished in a lovely setting.
