Cheval Blanc Honfleur

The Hotel Le Cheval Blanc is situated right next to the harbor and is in the center of the city. The rooms were nice and the employees very helpful. We asked the desk to recommend a few good restaurants and their choices were great. Honfluer is filled with restaurants. It seems every other business is a restaurant. The harbor itself is ringed with outdoor cafes so it was helpful to have the recommendations.

The only bad thing about the Hotel Le Cheval Blanc was the parking. You can choose the public, outside parking lots (about 3 blocks away) and plug the meters often or reserve one of the 9 indoor parking spots that the hotel owns. This parking was in the center of town at least 6 blocks from the hotel. The hotel charged 10 euros for the parking. You had to have a access code to get in but it was safe. The only way really to get your bags to the hotel was to double park on a very narrow, very busy street in front of the hotel. There was no way for traffic to go around you so they line up behind you while you take your bags out and then continue to your parking.
Overall, this was a small bother compared to location of the hotel.

Unique Quality: Located right on the harbor. Excellent views of harbor and town.

Unique Quality: Quite old hotel, not too clean. But typically French style rooms with lots of patterned wallpaper and duvets!
I remember there were many different styled rooms but it is at least 10 years since I was here.
