I usually take note of any campgrounds because some of our family are campers. We were self-catering near Isigny but after lunch there at Au Blue Marine (sic) we took a walk along the river bank and came to a very pleasnt open space.
There was a lake with ducks and a group of school chidren were having sailing instruction.
In the distance older people were playing boules and there was a children's playground.
The campground proper could be seen across the lake through the trees that border the site. It appears to have a mixture of chalets, static vans and spaces. We could also see the outlines of the water slides on the outdoor swimming pool, there is a smaller covered pool plus usual activities like tennis, watersports and so on.
The site is located very close to the town centre with all shops, cinema, bars and restaurants and there is a an Intermarche Supermarket even closer on the road into the centre.
A good location for exploring the Landings beaches and further afield too.
I didn't stay at the hotel but was in the restaurant However, friends stayed there and were pleased.
It's away fron the trendy resort towns and not as pricey
A former post house, the hotel is situated in the centre of a small market town with a population of 3000.
The establishment is more than 100 years old, and provides a high level of comfort, calm and tranquility and a warm welcome.
