Watch the waves crash on the sea wall at the port. I spent many hours watching waves crash on this wall protecting the boats. There always seemed to be a storm coming in when I was there. Sometimes the waves would crash completely over this wall so protect your camera.
Le Havre is a beautiful city on the Ocean in Normandie. It is a major seaport for transportation and shipping. I took the ferry to England from here and finally got the chance to drive in London. The city was half destroyed during WWII so there is big contrast between the old parts of the city and the new.

I've just been to Le Havre for one night on the way to the Ireland ferry. We went into Le Havre in the evening but it was constantly raining so we went back to the hotel and slept early.
There are two nice places around there I can recommend that we saw the next day on the way to Cherbourg: The "Pont du Normandie" - a great bridge and Mont St. Michel.
