Lisiuex - The town of Ste Therese
After having spent some time at the northeastern Normandy coast and the Seine valley, we continued our way through Normandy. So we came to Lisieux, a town with around 25 000 inhabitants which is a center of pilgirmage. The town is well known for Ste Therese of the Child Jesus of the Holy Face who was canonised in 1925 by Pope Leo XI. Our stop in Lisieux was short, but we visited the Basilique and learned a little about the history and life of Ste Therese.
