    Ibiss is a basic hotel. This hotel however is on the riverside. Every time when you go outside you will have an excellent view on Auxerre. You ‘LL see the river and the Cathedral Saint-Etienne on top of the hill. When you cross the bridge you're immediatly in the centre of Auxerre, with all the shops, bars, restaurants,… All combined in the narrow streets. The houses have a very nice architecture. The funny thing is that ... i took this picture and every time I have seen a picture from Auxerre ... in Auxerre , that picture is from the same spot as mine :-).

    • Good value 2 star hotel - town centre location, though the selection of Motels (Formula 1, Premier Class, Mister Bed etc.) near the Peage on the exit from the autoroute are equally good value with a big Carrefour supermarket nearby.

    A beautiful house dated from the 17th century where they still make wine. You can visit the cellars and taste their wine. They have 5 rooms up to 4 people, all with private bathroom, a private parking, swimming pool and garden with table tennis.
    For 20 EUR extra they serve you dinner. (Typical Burgundian menu prepared by owner including wine of the house)

    We came upon this hotel by chance, and, I'm so pleased we did, because it not only had parking facilities, it was just a five minute walk from the centre. It was spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more helpful.

    You have a choice of rooms all en suit, we took the standard, which was very comfortable.
    The room had a mini bar, tv, wifi connection ( ask at reception for connection), no tea or coffee making facilities.
    The bathroom was large with a bath and hand held shower. The towels got changed daily and the soap n shampoo re filled.
    They do NOT have a restaurant, but breakfast is available, plus you can order drinks and snacks to be delivered to your room, out in the garden or at the bar. There is a lift, but I don't think this hotel will be suitable for wheelchair users.

    The hotel has a small outdoor swimming pool, but it was closed when we where there.
    There is a nice garden with loungers and table and chairs.

    We stay two nights in this hotel. We have good time there. We have comfortable rooms behind the restaurant on the first and second floor. The diner was tastily

    There is a garage for the car. The lady of the houses is the bos. She is helpful also her personal. The hotel was always a halt for the post coach.

    Next to the river it’s possible to camp with you’re mobilehome. Finding a spot is maybe difficult but as a stop to stay overnight it’s a magnificent place.

    The guest rooms are on the first floor. You have to climb these beautiful stairs to get there.
