A marvelous bed and breakfast! Perfect location, nice hosts, good breakfast, elegant rather spacious rooms, comfortable sleep.
I lked the place. Tge hosts take good care of the place. Thw rooms are very homelike and facing the small hotel garden, not the street.
The garden is nice,, if the weather is warm you can have a nice time there sitting in the farden chairs with a book or without...
The hosts have a wine cellar and take their guests there to taste the wine and to speak about wine. I learnt new things thatbI did not know.
If you need an advice of how to spend time, ask the hosts. These people do care about guests and their recomendations are good.
L'Hotel De Beaune was a terrific place to stay in Beaune. We spent four nights there at the end of May 2013 and couldn't have been happier.
The hotel is a combination of two buildings across a courtyard. The first building is a manor house and has three floors of nicely appointed rooms. The second building contains the Bistro and has two annex rooms on the third floor. We chose to stay in one of the Annex rooms (9) and were glad that we did. While we gave up some of the french opulence, we made up for it with a larger space and modern touches, which to us was the best of both worlds.
Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The room was actually tidied up and towels replenished while we were out to dinner. The bathroom had a large stand up shower as well as a big soaking tub. The bedroom had plenty of light and outlets for those of us who need to charge up electronics. The location is perfect for exploring the town and is close to many restaurants and shops. The Hotel restaurant is one of the best in town. You'll definitely want to eat there while visiting.
The staff were all exceptional. Very friendly and helpful, as well as personable. They accepted my not so good French language skills with a smile and provided suggestions for things to do and places to eat.
We will return to Beaune and we will stay here once again. I would definitely recommend it to others. It's not the least expensive hotel you'll find, but it's worth every dollar or Euro.
There is parking available for a couple cars in the courtyard area for a fee and there is a parking garage just a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
Wish I had a photo of the campground in Beaune. It is great! The sites are very large and are separated by thick tall hedges so they are very private. They have a small restaurant on the site so you can eat very inexpensively right at the campground.
There is a tv room, hot showers (very clean), ice cream, a laundry, a gas/petrol station, a playground and barbecue facilities.
Open Marcch 15 to October 30
Location location location! It's right in the center of town. You can easily walk to Old Town.
It is also very friendly, but most campgrounds are.
When we visited Beaune, we stayed at a hotel, on the roadside, between Beaune and Dijon (nearer to Dijon).
Hotel Hugotel Sud was a no frills, but clean hotel that had views over a vineyard....but was basically a highway side hotel.
It was adequate for our needs of a place to sleep.
It had a restaurant with reasonable prices and a big selection, open all day.
Familiar Hotel . Typical French, older style but cosy.
In the center of the village. Strange location but very quite during the night.
The restaurant is worth the stop.
Fine French dinning and you can visit the wine cellar.
No don't touch the bottles La Tache priced around 500 euro a bottle
