TOP Hotel of the Village
We would have loved to stay more than one night, but in order to be where we needed to be in a week, that was all the time we had.A beautiful old hotel, made very comfortable. The people at Reception were very courteous and helpful, showing us 3 different rooms so that we could make a choice. All the rooms were nice, but I preferred the view from the one we chose, even tho the bathrm was a little smaller than the others. Very comfortable beds, FREE WIFI in the room. We always drink the tap water, but here it is tasting a bit like old pipes, but we had no problem.
Their bar area was very atmospheric, and since we had a big downpour just in early evening, that is where we had a drink, altho there were no other guests around.
Lovely restaurant; but we were skipping dinner, having had a big lunch. Breakfast was in same area and was a nice full buffet of lovely breads, jams, meats, yogurts, etc. (see 4th PHOTO)

Old Fashioned Rustic Hotel
I arrived at the hotel after 11pm, by which time it was all locked up for the night. However the reception provides a pass code for the entry panel and all was OK. The hotel is a little dated – very 70’s, although that is the 1770’s rather than the 1970’s. It has wonderful touches, like an open washing area, complete with large stone sinks, or an old telephone kiosk.
Decoration wise, my room was pretty minimal. It was large, with two comfortable single beds, a bathroom in one room and a bath, sink and bidet in another. It had two large, shuttered windows that looked out the front of the hotel, onto a lovely scene of French farming town.
Breakfast (11 euros) was good – cereals, fruits, juices, cheese, meats and meat terrines. Lots of bread and pastries also.
I did see a sign offering wifi but had no time to enquire about it.
There does not appear to be a lift in the hotel, and some of the rooms can be up 2 steep flights of stairs.
