Nice views of the bay

I am not sure why I picked Audierne over Douarnenez, but it may have been because it seemed a bit closer to Pointe du Raz, and also Quimper, than Douarnenez. (as it happened it is all fairly close and as easy drive).

I chose Le Goyen (3 stars) after comparing many hotels in both towns. I am very glad I did!

My room had a balcony view over the bay, and if you love sun in your room in the morning - try to get a room overlooking the water.

The staff was very friendly and polite, in fact, they let me use their front desk internet for free (I didn't hog it of course).

The room was spacious by your typical European hotel standards, and the bathroom had a huge tub which I enjoyed soaking in, with a book.

It was decorated in what appeared to be an "older European" style. Heavy curtains, gold wallpaper, thick rug, etc. Not new and up to date, but cozy.
