One of the best campgrounds in France is just outside of Concarneau. There are lots of trees for shade, grass for your campsite, and clean showers and restroom facilities. The owner takes pride in his campground and you can expect to be treated as if you were in a 5 star hotel.
This campground is 6 minutes from the center of town along a scenic road.
There is a private beach with lots of fine sand on the shore. Beautiful view. You can walk off some of those calories from the French cooking to get to the beach.
For some reason we found that the patrons at this campground were far more friendly than other campgrounds.
You cannot see Concarneau from the campground as you will be camping in a garden like setting.

A welcome oasis
The hotel was not mentioned by the tourist board, whose literature instead included several below average (or worse) accomodations nearby.
This two star offered excellent value for 70 Euros for two people:
-CNN TV;
- Elevator ;
- Full Buffet Continental breakfast ;
- Secure Free Parking; a
