a queen and why not you, Hortense

by written on April 5, 2015

I come here and walk all over, seeing many but hotels well live only less than 2 hrs from here. However, for the visitor in need of an authentic hotel for the local flavor and well price this one struck my fancy, if needed one, this would be it.

Only 150 meters from the nice beach of Plage de l'écluse. IN a belle époque mansion open april 3 to October 15 2015 and to check for other years. parking space free, garage is 18 € per day
mansion built for the Russian Prince Nicolas Vlassov for the queen Hortense de Beauharnais of the Netherlands in 1901.

Interesting to know, the living room, decorated in the style of Napoleon III, and the Queen's Chamber, especially keep several memories of the illustrious woman (including its silver bathtub still in use). Everywhere, the antique furniture, precious objects, arrays and other trompe l'oeil decorations add a cosy and romantic touch. The veranda of the lounge, extended by a terrace, directly overlooking the sea.

Unique Quality: history, class ,location and service were seen to be good.

Directions: right off the beach ecluse
