Stayed in Dol very briefly last Summer, in this great campsite with Irish group KelAir. The mobile home we had was perfect, and the campsite boasts a wide range of activities on offer -the site has seveal outdoor pools including one with slides, there's a beautiful little river where you can kayak or rent paddle boats etc., there's a pitch n putt course, golf course, golf range and a forest adventure park for the brave!
You can hire bikes, play tennis, go to a circus, do some horse-riding or enjoy the restaurant/bar on site. It's really a great site for kids, with several kids clubs and a playground! You really don't need good weather here!
Dol is a beautiful, pretty Bretagne town with good amenities. It also in good driving distance to other major towns e.g. st malo.
The B & B is located about 1.5 kms from the centre of the town, but our hosts kindly came and collected us from the bus stop. There are about 3 rooms in the B & B, two on the first level, and one double room with two double beds on the 2nd level (which was our room) and own spacious private bathroom on that floor. For a budget price of 40E, we were more than happy with what we received, especially the free breakfast, which is 5 or 6 Euros per person at hotels and some other B & B's we stayed in.
Very kind owners, Mr & Mme Le Carpentier have been running the B & B for the last 20 years. Breakfast is very generous and delicious, including warm croissants, biscuits, cake, juice and coffee in a bowl (which we'd never seen before but is common in France, especially Brittany)
