We stayed in this Hotel in July 2007 after it was recommended by a French friend because of its restaurant. We studied the menu outside the Hotel and decided it looked very interesting if a bit expensive.
When we checked in - having booked for B & B - we were asked if we would like to dine there and offered a special deal on Dinner, B&B which sounded a very good one.
Our room was quite large, comfortable and had everything we needed, but it was a little tired and I thought both the room and the bathroom were overdue for a makeover!
In fact as we found our way about the hotel there were signs that refurbishment was in progress.
The dining room was rather an elegant one to find in a country town - touches of both Louis Quinze and Belle Epoque ! (see sparate Restaurant Tip)
Overall this was a very pleasant stay. We slept like logs in our quiet room at the back and the Total bill for two for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast including wine and coffee came to the equivalent of £120.
On our visit through Le Faou 11 months later in June 2008 reburbishment seemed to be complete and the oustside of the building was also looking very smart.
Update October 2009
Very busy at lunch time and looking very smart - now has 3*s.
