Lan Caradec: B&B in Lezardrieux
We found this B&B through www.gites-de-france.fr, an organisation which I have used for almost 25 years now.
It has its own website as you can see below.
When I look at the website I recognise that we stayed in the Abricot room, which was spacious. The bathroom even more spacious and it had a balcony overlooking the harbour.
Unique Quality: Mr and Mrs Wake are still the owners today (2007). They had just started, I believe, when we stayed back in 1991.
In 1991 we paid 264 FF for a double room, which would now amount to about 40 EUR.
In 2007 a double room costs 54 EUR, including breakfast. Even now after 16 years I remember the homemade jam.
The family now also offers a holiday home (gite).
Mr Wake is Japanese, which might be of interest to visitors from Japan. When we stayed, Mrs. Wake commented on the fact that they had a lot of couples staying with 'sang bleu' (blue blood). Meaning that at least one of them would have Asian heritage. That was funny because we ended up there quite by chance!
