Mana Mana: Back Packers Gite/Hostel
We passed this eye-catching hostel several times on our travels around the peninsula and although we don't use hostels now I thought a Tip here might be of interest to those who do.
The website seems to have a few problems - like text partly superimposed by pictures on some pages - so you can't see either too well!
There are no single rooms 2;3,4 and 6 bedders; shared bathrooms; a good looking kitchen, small sitting room and a nice garden for BBQ's and relaxing.
Maximum prices at high season seems to be about 16 euros per night, progressively less if staying more than one night.
The location is excellent - less than a mile from the village of Morgat where there is a small Proxi supermarket and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants.
Some of the best parts of the coastal path to the south around Cap de la Chevre are on the doorstep.
Cliff views are fantastic and there are very good beaches - la Palud is particularly recommended for surfing. Swimming is said to be not permitted there because of strong undercurrents but I saw both surfers and swimmers there.
I did note that the beaches were very popular with young people who seem to meet there after work or college.
Walkers of all ages are to be seen on the coastal path.

Ty Augustine: A View, a Garden and a Pool.
UPDATE December 2010
I have been trying, without success, to contact the owners of this property with a view to making a booking for Summer 2011. Will report further if I make contact.
This visit was for a family holiday with our youngest son, and daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. Our modern rented house in a quiet cul-de-sac with its very large garden and 8m x4m heated pool was perfect for us.. 400 metres from the nearest beach , 2 minutes from Crozon town centre, a little more from Morgat and the great boulangerie there.
From the terrace there were views to Morgat and we watched the sailing school vessels in the bay each morning.
The house was very well equipped for a self catering holiday - 5 bedrooms, 3 shower rooms, 2 loos ( no problem but we think more would be necessary if the house were fully occupied!)
The children loved the pool, checked the temperature every morning and jumped in - even on the few rainy occasions we had.
The location, facilities and comfort - and the charming, young and helpful but not intrusive owners.
