Pieds dans La mer

Last visit October 17th 2009.
We first spotted this place on a previous visit to Roscoff and have since chosen it on two occasions for our last night before the morning ferry back to Plymouth.
It is a "partner" of Brittany Ferries from which it takes bookings - early booking is advisable..

There are 26 rooms, 12 with seaviews, in this refurbished 2* B&B Hotel. The first floor rooms we have stayed in are quite small - but have a fantastic view, TV ( we did not switch it on) telephone and free Wi-Fi.
The shower room was also small but the shower excellent and the maritime themed decor of the hotel is maintained here with look-a-like teak decking. All spotlessly clean .

Downstairs the reception area has a small lounge where coffee, soft drinks and bottled beers are available and across the entrance hall there is a large breakfast room - 7 euros for pdj.

Unique Quality: We would certainly stay here again.

The location is perfect- friedly managers and just a few steps from the front door to the beach and a very short walk along the "promenade" brings you tou Place d'Eglise and the main street leading to the Harbour, shops and restaurants.
There is plenty of parking close to the hotel but it is on a road with little traffic and so was a very quite place to stay.
Less than 5 minutes by car to the ferry Terminal.

Our room was in the top price catergory but at 69 euros but worth it for a quiet location and a room with a view. Also - only a few steps up the road to the bistro-restaurant La Moule au Pot ! (see restaurant tip)

Right on the waterfront

Good clean, comfortable accommodation. Front rooms have superb view out to sea. We didn't have breakfast, but it was available. Good stopover hotel for the ferry to Plymouth.

Travel Tips for Roscoff

If You Need To Do Your Laundry

by johngayton

If you're staying in self-catering accommodation, or are just generally on the road, there's a perfectly good laundrette in the town centre. Not something I've had to use (as yet) but here it is anyway on Rue A Courbet which is part of the town's main street.

Roscoff - a little gem

by Jeanlyon

"Roscoff"

We visit Roscoff fairly often, but to many people it is just a getting off place from the ferry from Plymouth and also from Ireland. It is worth spending some time getting to know the place. The church is very old and quite lovely. There are loads of restaurants.
