What can you do while waiting for the late ferry back to the UK?
Apart from hanging around the local bars or restaurants? There's always a wander up to the "point d'orientation" to watch the sun go down. Or if wine is your thing then by all accounts the Roscoff Wine and Beer Seller stays open late for the boats with generous tastings available and chatty knowledgeable staff. www.roscoffwineseller.com

Roscoff is well-provided with free-to-use public toilets. A couple of them are simple "pissoirs" but most are modern with proper facilities and the ones down by the harbour also offer showers (for the showers you need a token from the Tourist Office which costs 2 Euros).
Been through this town half a dozen times each way, mostly on golfing trips with the lads in jeeps to carry the clubs and stuff. good choice of good grub on the restaurants close to the old harbour. the ferry port is a couple of kilometres to the east...and so are the wine warehouse shops... much to our amusement on one occasion ...when the ramp of the ferry was literally about to be lifted as we hit it at 90! We had confused French time with the Irish clock...one hour behind... did we or did we not enjoy a few stiff ones once on board...the ferry sails to Cork just once a week... but then...we missed out on another possible week's golf at Dol de Bretagne.
