    This is a modern but beautifully decorated hotel as you can see in the photo. The room was larger than some we have encountered in Europe and was very pleasant with a sparkling white bathroom. Also, they served a wonderful breakfast in a very pleasant room overlooking the beach. It included breads, cheese, yogurt, juice, coffee and eggs.

  • Of course living in the Channel Island of Jersey the boat to france arrives and departs from the port of St Malo. The Hotel appeared to have internet/t.v and etc in the rooms. This was the main reason I stayed here for the night. Alas the internet conection didn't work and the staff couldn't fix it till the morning, so I felt cheated. the room was of a good standard, and clean.

    We stayed there from a sunday night until the next saturday. We had already slept in an Ibis hotel in another town and as we were satisfied with the stay, we decided to try this one for our stay in Saint-Malo. We weren't at all disappointed; the personnel is very nice, really ready to help you. The breakfast buffet is great and we ate twice in the restaurant at night : it was very good and cost only 16€ for a three meal course !

    We've never stayed here. We found it as we drove around Brittany, but we went inside and it was utterly charming. They have a wonderful restaurant and we vowed we would spend a few days there in the future. You are directly across the bay from Mont St. Michel and can see it in the distance across the water.

    The view, the walking paths, the nature reserve, the restaurant . . . location, location, location.

    Four stars condos for 2 to 6 people in a recently transformed old belle époque building on the beach. We had a 6 p. unit with 2 bedrooms, both with 2 singles, and a sofa sleeper in the living room. The appartments are quite luxurious (according to European standarts) but rather small in my opinion. However being American you'd feel ripped off, in St-Malo this residence belongs to the best. Important The appartments on the side of the building have a small balcony and a little seaview. The ones in the original building have frontal seaview but no balcony. Still, some have a loggia and large windows. This could be important for a booking.

    Some pros: - the unique location at the beach - large living room window with seaview, also one bedroom with seaview - full equipped kitchen - comfortable beds - flat screen television (large enough) - indoor swimming pool - free private parking - free garage for bicycles and sailboards - extra showers in the basement for sandy beach people - very clean appartment the cons: - condos are rather small - one bedroom has a window which gives out in a passageway, not practical for ventilation - no washer nor dryer in the condo (collective laundry in the basement) - no safe

    The rooms were nice enough. We had 2 triples. One was a loft with a door that opened out onto a shared patio on the boardwalk / beach.

  • We stayed for three nights last week (December 2006) in this wonderful hotel. It's a very comfortable 2 star hotel, opposite the castle of Saint-Malo, overlooking the sea on one side and a lovely circus on the other (most hotels in Saint-Malo have either a harbour view or no view at all). It is the oldest hotel of Saint-Malo with lovely 19th century style furniture. I found this hotel totally by chance on the internet and choose it because they have a special offer for the month of December: 3 nights, breakfast included for 174 euros. This is very cheap as the normal fare is around 100 euros per night, but even at 100 euros it's worth going there. We had a very spacious room with two windows looking out on to the ramparts and the sea. If you want a sea view, ask for the third or fourth floor. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. As for the breakfast, it was enormous with high quality food. They also have a beautiful restaurant which we did not try. I highly recommend this hotel to VT members. The special offer runs till end December 06, so go for it NOW.

    To stay within the walls of the old town certainly bumps up the prices of the hotels. This hotel is clean and always offer a friendly service. It is also one of the "average" costing hotels. Breakfast is the usual continental affair however I would recommend going out to a local coffee bar/creperie for something a little different and very French!!

    The sea views are nothing spectacular so don't fork out the extra money! You are far better off walking along the top of the walls for a romantic stroll!!!

  • I remember little about the hotel itself. We basically spent very little time here as we walked all around St. Malo and the aquarium all day and then checked out the next to see Mont St. Michel and drove back to Nicole's home. I do remember that everything was clean and comfortable. We had two adjoining rooms with queen size beds. I think we ate at the hotel for dinner but I am not 100% certain (I was there almost 10 years ago!) All in all this was a great jumping off point for Mont St. Michel, the Grand Aquarium and old St. Malo. I would stay here again if I had the opportunity.

    Fully refurbished hotel, near the beaches and the old town centre Cite Corsaire. Ideal for your business and leisure stays. It features a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, and a large and free car park. The Hotel also alows pets to stay. The hotel offers breakfast in the mornings for about $10 per person.
