RE: SOUVENIRS

I can't see any "store posted for souvenirs in St. Malo" in previous questions/answers in this forum. So how are people to know which store it is, to be able to look up any website/e-mail address for you?! Anyway, it seems to me that if you have been there and bought something there, you are better placed than most to find its name and from that, perhaps contact details.
Maybe you would recognise the name from the shops mentioned on here http://www.frommers.com/destinations/st-malo/0575010031.html or

Travel Tips for Saint-Malo
Intra-Muros (Walled City)
by sue_stone
The lovely old walled city of St-Malo was originally an island, becoming linked to the mainland by a sandy isthmus back in the 13th century.
The old city is called Intra Muros, meaning 'within the walls'. In 1944, around 80% of it was destroyed during the war. It has since be restored to its former glory. The walled city is filled with narrow cobbled streets and pretty squares, making it a magnet for tourists in the summer. Go out of season and you can enjoy a wander around the town without having to push through the crowds.
Visit the impressive Cathedrale St-Vincent, relax in Place des Freres Lammenais or perhaps take a walk along the ramparts (city walls) and enjoy the view.
A Hidden treasure!
by ilovespain about Restaurant at la Pomme d'or hotel
My last day in St Malo before heading to Bordeaux, I was scouting for a place for dinner. There are a lot of restaurants right around the entrance of Main gate. But,.. I do not want to sit on a white plastic chair with adjacent tables a foot away. I decided to give this restaurant a try after checking their menu. It is inside this 2* hotel. The restaurant looks clean and my proprietary table cloth indicator says it is a 'go'. The dozen langostines was delicious even though they were a bit small. The veal with rice was excellent. It was 10 times better than those from Zurich- a bit of lean meat and some fatty cut combined in a tasty, white creamy sauce.
The House of Quebec
by dimilag
The House of Quebec is intended to have Quebec known and loved in France and to reinforce the friendly relationships the French and Quebecker communities have had.
The House of Quebec is opened from mid-May to the end of October and extends its activities and programmes to enable young artists from Quebec to perform at Chateaubriand Theatre in the evening.
This year celebrates the 14th artistic season organised by the franco-quebecker office for youth, the town of Saint-Malo, Saint-Malo-Quebec Association and the General Delegation of Quebec in Paris.
Popular Marinas
by Goner
Saint Malo is an historic port which continues to be very busy. The port includes three marina areas with 2,000 berths and full supporting facilities, a commercial port handling the import of granite, wood, fertilizers, salt, animal feed and paper among other cargoes and a fishing port which, together with neighbouring Cancale pulls in some 4,000 tons of fish a year.
St. Malo has a surprising amount of recreational boats as you can see in the aerial view in the postcard.
To the Beach!
by TimDaoust
"St. Malo"
This little town is a short and inexpensive train ride from Rennes in the heart of Bretagne and well worth even just a day trip. I went here with my roommate at the time, and two other friends, one of whom is now my wife. We were looking for a getaway after our first week of study and after reading guide books and taking advice of international students we had met, we found ourselves in Rennes. The second day in Rennes, hungry to explore, we took this train ride and found ourselves a short walk from the old medieval walled city of St. Malo that is right on the beach. And a beach with the highest tidal range in the world, we were soon to find out.
