"Going Back to Vannes"

It is more then 20 years since we first visited Vannes.
We were staying in a gite just outside the town and always went in to Vannes to do our shopping - and of course to view the sights. In the intervening years we stayed there only once again but have many times travelled quickly through or past, sometimes stopping long enough for a mid-day meal, or to do a bit of shopping.
On our most recent visit, conscious of many changes in the town, we resolved to return as soon as a suitable opportunity arose.

Now that we have a plan to stay nearby again later this year I brought out the photos, taken between 1987 and 1992, which appear here.

I will not add any Tips using old photos and old memories(!) but will add fresh material and photos to this page after our visit in Setember/October 2009.
