Hotel Balena: Great Calvi Hotel
I stayed for a week at the Hotel Balena which is situated right in front of the harbour at Calvi.
The location is excellent you are literally the centre point of the town, although gutted not to get a room facing at the front, out across the bay I was just as happy with the view of the cobbled main street and gives you a chance to watch everyone going about their daily business and a view of the Citadel.
Although I don't think a breakfast or dinner option was available there is a fantastic boulangerie just across the street and plenty other food shops close by so if anything your spoilt for choice.
The hotel and the decor is perfect and I can't fault anything with the hotel, would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Calvi.
The unique qualities are the views from the rooms and the location just makes adds to the benefits of being in such a great place.

CAMPING DOLCE VITA: A WONDERFUL CAMPINGSITE
A PLEASANT, QUIETLY SITUATED, PERFECT CAMPING GROUND!
Although the camping is situated outside the city one of the local bakers is there early in the morning (and once again after 5 o'clock in the afternoon) with all kinds of fresh bread.
The camping has a restaurant and a bar, a lovely beach and a supermarket. Of course there is a shop for souvenirs and for bathing things......

N/A: Accommodation in general
As I mentioned before we stayed in a villa not far out of the centre of Calvi - the villa was excellent and it was fully equiped with all appliances.
I did spot a few hotels when we were around and about - but I did notice there was an abundance of caravan/camping sites all around.
It certainly maybe a good option if you're working on a budget - if you can cope with the simple things in life.

BVJ Corse: Youth Hostel
Youth hostel in Calvi although some of the guests when I stayed there could hardly be called youths. A little rundown although the manager was very nice and spoke several languages almost fluent (english, french, italian).
There were no curfew and there's an old Internet Access terminal at the entrance.
A lot of backpackers and hikers for the GR20 stays there.
