Keep fit by staying in the Calvi Citadelle

"Staying in the Citadelle"

We stayed in Calvi for one week and the apartment we stayed in was in the Citadelle opposite Chez Tao.
It was really nice in the citadelle but the walk up and down to the town was a killer, cobbles and steep! Don't think I'd stay up there again. Instead I'd recommend staying in the town, near the beach and visiting the citadelle at some point during your visit.

"Daytime in Calvi"

If you are not lying on the beach then you'll be wandering through the streets of Calvi or along the lovely waterfront shown here. We spent many hours people watching from the bars/cafes.

"Boat Trip to Ajaccio"

We took a day trip to Ajaccio on a Colombo Line boat.
The staff were very friendly and the itinery was exactly what we wanted, however I would only recommend this boat trip to people with good sea legs, I'd say 70% of the passengers on our trip were or felt sea sick. I was lucky and only felt sick, I am normally a good traveller. The boat goes quite fast and I think this is why the ride was so rough
