The people who manage and work there make this a lovely experience. They are concerned, professional and very friendly. The other travelers you meet are also part of the experience. We've met people from many countries staying there. You can walk to the chateau and anywhere in town that interests you.
The Hotel de Biencourt seems to no longer be listed as a Logis de France which surprises me a little. It is a very nice, clean, friendly hotel in a wonderful location with nearby parking and easy access to the chateau and village. We have stayed there several times and will stay there again. The web site listed below gives direct access to the hotel for reservations and their prices are very reasonable.
Unique Quality: Very inexpensive . . . 64 to 88 euros per room. It is clean, friendly and quite charming. Ask for a room on the courtyard. It is lovely nearly any time of year and the rooms are lighter because they have French doors onto the courtyard.
These are the prices per room, not per person. You can get a room for four at 98 euros per room.
Directions: About one block from the chateau. It is on a pedestrianized street so you drop your luggage and go park back on the square . . . except Saturday when there is a market in the morning.
