I don't know, whether it is a local custom, or a man swallowing fire is simply a guest performer. However I have seen such a show for the first time.

Hi. Can someone tell me the best way to get from Loire Valley (Amboise/ Tours/ Orleans) to the Riviera (Nice). Are there any train connections?

I notice you didn't get any replies. We are travelling by train from Tours to Antibes later in the year and can only see that most directions take you back to Paris first. What did you manage to do? Was there a more direct track across country?

Cathedrale St. Gathien
A masterpiece! One that had captivated my heart & would leave its marks on me for eternity. Even the Vatican City didn't have that imprint. Don't know why.
Today, I read a VT member's homepage & he said this: "Goa!!!, the smallest state in India.
But then again, the heart isn't the largest organ in the body".
For me, it aptly describes how I felt about Cathedrale St. Gathien, as compared to the Vatican City.
Serenity
As I've said, I had the whole cathedral to myself!
I guess I don't have to know what everything is, just the willingness to embrace. Faith perhaps, or possibly just a sense of knowing... knowing everything will work out fine. & knowing God has a plan of HIS own. :-)

Tours is located in a beautiful countryside dotted with chateaux. On a sunny summers day it is possible to hire a bicycle and peddle around the area to visit several of these medieval palaces
