This was very much worth the price (it was really cheap!) and they had their own garage witch was very nice! There´s nothing wrong with this hotel, we might visit again. It´s not any luxury, but as I said, it was cheap, so for the price it was nicer than many others we have visited.
Not too far from champagne-caves.
Own garage. A bath. We took a nice long bath there :)
The owners Anne-Laure & Jean GARNOTEL will do everything to make your stay at their place a wonderful one.......
Apart from their mother tongue French they speak German and English, which will make things much easier for everyone.
Important is that their lovely place, see picture, is only 10 minutes away from REIMS which has its advantages, believe me.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable with douche/bathroom....
They have given the room names like: chambre "CHAMPAGNE", chambre " AUTREFOIS" and chambre "POTAGER", isn't that a nice idea.
Have a look at them yourself, I shall give you the URL of their site on the WWW and their email address.
Don't wait, don't hesitate, just go there.....
The picture is not that good but.....it is here just to give you an idea.....I got this brochure at the Bureau du Tourisme........
BTW the name LES CéLESTINES means: HEAVENLY PLACE......
We stayes for 4 days on a nice campground in the region : Parc Nautique de l'Ailette, situated on the border of a beautiful lake where there was beach recreation, biking, and watersports.
wonderful place and very good facilities
I don't know any top hotel in Reims, so if you are not willing to give up top luxus and comfort, you better stay in your suite at the Georges V in Paris and come to Reims for a day trip. Anyway, hosteling in France is, in general, quite good, and even middle class hotels are very comfortable. The last time I went to Reims I stayed at the Hotel de la Cathédrale. It is a comfortable two star hotel very close to the cathedral.
A double room with breakfast included cost ca. € 73 (weekend rate).
Remember this is a two star hotel, so make sure you reserve a comfort room with a bathroom, for not all the rooms have it. If you take one of these comfort rooms, you will feel really well there. The small hotel is family managed and the service is very friendly.
We stayed in the hostel but as it was a good while ago, I don't remember exactly where it was. I do remember it to be the nicest hostel we stayed in while on the continent.
The only bad thing was that it had a curfew of about 11pm.
Well, favorite, not really, but it was better than lots of other lodging. I stayed and the A.L.E.J.T. a home for students and young workers.
No idea, you could get some funding if you were a student with a student card from the government. But I guess it wass 1200FF a month. So by now it must be 3000FF.
Breakfast every morning, just made for you and there was dinner also (not free!) but you also could cook your meals at the shared kitchen. The rooms were very small but everyone had his own. Mail was delivered downstairs and telephonecalls were announced with a speakersystem.
