Cliff top town with a great atmosphere
"Quaint?"
I sailed into Bonifacio from Naples, through the strait between Sardinia and Corsica, the entrance is quite difficult to spot initially, but then you see the speed boats haring in at a million miles and hour and all is well.
The town is pretty awesome, some of the houses go right up to the cliff edge overlooking the straight, this photo was taken from the fort that overlooks the town, its definitely worth a visit to, but it is especially hard work climbing up the steps!!
There are some pretty good restaurants here, but again, as I was here on a boat, we generally tended to save money, and we didn't really leave Bonifacio, we stayed there about 3 days before moving off.
Ooooh, OK then, I'll put them in a travelogue.....
