Santa Giulia or Pinarello?
Hi. I'm trying to choose between 2 beach hotels for a summer 2008 holiday. I really can't choose between them except in price. I'd appreciate any info from Corsica travellers on both or either of these as a location for a week's break for 2 adults, no kids, looking for peace, good food and plenty of sunbathing. Info needn't be about the hotels so much as what the locale is like for restaurants, bars, beach facilities etc.

I'm afraid I don't know the individual hotels, but on location, I'd go for Santa Giulia. Once you're north of Porto Vecchio, you have limited places of interest to visit within an easy drive. From Santa Giulia, you have both Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio within easy reach by car.
However, had you thought of going to the Balagne instead? Slightly less expensive than the somewhat pricey south, the north west offers lots of beautiful sandy and rocky coves, great restaurants and a train line for the days you want to leave the car behind. But I reckon you'll enjoy it wherever you end up! DTR
