Gîte "Chez Léontine": Huge & nice holiday home
We spent one week in the holiday home "Chez Léontine" in Liesle, a small village near Arc-et-Senans. It's for up to 6 people, much bigger than we had needed! There's one bedroom with a double bed, and another one with a double bed and a bunk bed. When you enter the house you are directly in the living room, with a small sofa and a big dining table. There's a fireside but we didn't manage to light it up, and as the heating was not turned on it was a bit cold.... The kitchen is in a kind of corridor and is well equipped and even had a dish washer. The holiday home is in a pretty huge stone house with the owner's home on the left and the holiday home on the right, and with a kind of barn (or rather two) between them. In the barn were several bikes that you could use, and also a big freezer.
The owner is German which of course was convenient for us. There were all kind of flyers and literature on the sights in the region in a drawer, mainly the German and French versions, and also some maps. So we were busy the first evening...
In Lisle you'll find a little supermarket called Coccimarket next to the church where you can get croissants for your breakfast - yummy! The next "real" supermarket is in Arc-et-Senans, about 4 km away.
