More than we imagined
My wife and I were in need of sleep and comfort after a trans-Atlantic flight and drive to Monet's home in Giverny. To say we had difficulty finding Connelles is an understatement. Alas, we found our way and were much pleased. The room met all our needs and was quiet and comfortable. I conked out for hrs. Later we looked about the grounds which were great and on the scenic Seine. We dined next door at the superior restaurant. Our stay was great and regenerating. Just what we needed to start our 10 days in Normandy.
Unique Quality: The building is reproduced half-timber architecture. Our room overlooked the river inlet while the other large window overlooked the high wall that surrounded the property and leads to the gated entrance. This is gained by driving a narrow country road.

Travelling to Paris from Connelles
We are arriving in Orly and renting a car. We are driving from there to Le Manoir des Deux Amants by way of Les Manns?. We would like to travel by rail into Pais for a couple of days and then return back to our lodgings. Can we drive to the rail station and park there for the day? Is this a practical thing to do? Does anyone have any helpful hints for us? My husband has no fear of driving. We then plan to travel to Brussels and other places on our way back to Orly to fly home.

We've stayed in Connelles but not at your Manoir. Is there some reason you are driving from Orly via Le Mans? It is way south of where you need to go from Paris to Connelles (or Cote des Deux Amants). If you have a reason, by all means visit Le Mans. If not, you might find it a pleasant drive via the A13 or, more fun, via Gisors.
I can't help you with the parking because we drive. Does your hotel have a shuttle service to the train station? That might be easiest.
Good luck and enjoy your stay. It's a gorgeous area of Normandy. If you have any free time, nearby are Chateau Galliard at Les Andelys, Chateau Vascoeuil with a fabulous sculpture park and super tea room by the stream, the charming quaint town if Lyons-la-Foret, Giverny of Monet fame and, of course, Rouen, a fascinating city.

pedmar, Wouldn't it be closer for them to take the train from Vernon near Giverny? Do you know if they can leave the car there overnight? Just curious. Thanks.

I thank you for all your comments, and we will take them to heart. I did read someplace not to take the train which is the commuter, so take take a much longer in and out trip. We are going to Les Mans as we are a day early for our hotel and thought that would be a nice side trip, and we will be dead tired after a long flight from San Bernardino, California via Madrid. I will look at the maps and things again. Thanks again for your help.

You're right. You will be tired. We often flew from Ontario or LAX when we lived near San Bernardino for 20 years. It's a looooooooooooong trip. When you get to Le Mans, walk walk walk. You'll feel much better and it's a great way to see things.
