I am staying at the ibis hotel. Sounds simple BUT to my amazement or niavity there are loads of Ibis hotels. All i know that it is on the outskirts of Rouen and the address mentions ST ETIENNE. I am a pretty useless web searcher but try as i might i can't find out any info about the hotel. Anyone got any ideas? Please cure my curiosity, although i will find out with the next two wks when i go(if it exists). Thankyou
Ibis hotel St. Etienne-du-Rouvray is 6.5 kms (according to viamichelin.com) outside the center of Rouen (in fact, in another town, namely St. Etienne-du-Rouvray).
However, when I googled for 'Rouen Ibis hotel', I got two Ibis hotels in St. Etienne-du-Rouvray.

...why else would you see so many of these friends on churches all over Europe? These two however are part of the scenery at Rouen's Palais du Justice...never too many gargoyles, that's my motto...one of them, anyway!
The Gros Horloge, here seen from the Place du Vieux Marché, bears, as its name says a huge clock. It was first set on the neighboring belfry. The citizens of Rouen felt it was not easy to read the time. Then, this arch was built in 1527, Renaissance style, especially to hold the clock;
Rouen has been severely hit by collateral damages from D-day and the bombing destroyed many ancient buildings. Restoration of the most prominent pieces of architecture took years and was (nearly) finished very recently. Minor buildings have been either erased or are still under reconstruction, 50 years later, as this tower.
But even these fancy fences get dirty with dust, mud, etc.. Then, they need some grooming! Actually the grooming is done with a high-pressure jet of water and we were lucky to catch that unusual sight.

This restaurant is very nice. Of course the food is great but i love also the pictures showing some personalities or stars who have eaten here. Specialities of Rouen
