We had this site earmarked, being not too far from Dieppe, where we were crossing the channel from the following day.
We were extremely fortunate there was one encampment left and it seemed to be the best pitch with the best view.
The site was tiered on the cliffside, up a steep little road from the town and it was packed!! We were very fortunate to have the end pitch, with no-one beyond us.Personally, I didn't see the attraction, pitches were fairly small and the limited facilities were across the road. The receptionist was a ferocious dragon, as well!!!
The views down to the sea and town were great. We actually sat and watched the town come to life at night, the casino light up and locals and tourists come out for a gamble. All very intersting. Another thing we noticed was how much lighter the evenings were compared with when we had been in Greece. It had been dark at 9.30pm in Greece but now was light until 10.30pm.
A small but, certainly impressive hotel from the outside. There about 18 rooms here and the one we had was clean if not simple in style. We never bothered with breakfast, as we preferred to walk into the town and enjoy a coffee and croissant at one of the bars near the harbour. It was OK as hotels go for the one night.
The exterior is very inviting.
This campsite has great views, it's not pricey, the toilets were clean but we prefered to stay at Veules-les-Roses.
It's open from mid-March to mid-November.
