Dingy room, great dinner
Our room (in an extension of the building) was very small and dark but heck, we were only there for one night. There were certainly much better rooms in the main building. Lovely garden and reception areas. And very good cuisine. It's in the guides, the British have discovered it! (O dear, is that a pro or a con?).
Unique Quality: 420 FF/64.02 EURO for a double bedroom (small), bathroom ensuite (price 1994)
Meals are pricey but good.
2007: price for a double room seems to be 73 EURO now. Better google 'barbizon cle d'or' for rates because the hotel website doesn't mention them.
I particularly remember dinner to be very enjoyable.
