THE SPINNING TEACUPS, DISNEYLAND PARK
given the choice our little ones preferred Uncle Christian over Grandad to take them on this ride, because Uncle Chris spins much faster, however much to their disappointment Uncle Chris could only manage two goes back to back before becoming too queasy to carry on
its a real fun ride though, and definately a favourite with our grandchildren n
Disney at Christmas
Disneyland is always great. But it doesn’t get really exciting until Christmas. The entire park is decorated and there’s a huge Christmas tree on Main Street. The Main Street Parade is also entirely dedicated to Christmas. Even Santa Clause himself joins the parade for this special occasion.
Statue of Liberty, history and exhibition
Lots of visitors stroll in the Liberty Arcade, but few of them stop to take a look through the display windows facing the shops. A pity... however interesting. Where was the statue built? Who built it? How was it shipped to NY? I learned all kind of petty facts about the Statue. In my opinion, a good exhibition!
If you have some time left... or, while your spouse is shopping and you hate it...
THE LION KING SHOW, DISNEYLAND PARK
this was our daughter`s must-see thing, there are shows throughout the day in English and in French and the tickets for the show are given out at the train station in Discoveryworld, check your park map for times, you will need a ticket as this show is very popular
we all enjoyed the show immensely, it is a very condensed version of the popular Lion King show currently running in London`s theatreland, you are allowed to take photographs without flash only
The 'science fiction' part of Disneyland. Here you find the most exciting rollercoaster 'Space Mountain', the impressive 3D cinema of 'Honey I shrunk the audience' along with many rockets and visions. And you can meet Buzz Lightyear here, too....
