You can contact your service provider in the US for any correspondant service provider in France. you will be billed at local charges only if available.
do not know any other solution, but I am way off as an expert on this.
Another thing your phone needs to be 4 Band GSM, as sometimes US phones wont work here,and vice versa. It happened with my old french Nokia phone in the US a couple years ago. like I said better check with your service provider.A friend (for use in Italy, Milan) just told me check AT T for 30 bucks or something they can do a program on roaming for your I Pod, check it out thus.
