Through the year - skating at the Hotel de Ville by TheWanderingCamel
During the winter months, December to the end of February, the Place de l'Hotel de Ville is transformed into a skating rink. Entrance to the rink is free, skates are available for hire for 6 euros.There is a smaller area reserved for beginners of all ages, and even a toboggan run, reserved for children and the occasional parent!
All this is very popular, especially in the evenings, and neighbouring coffee shops do a roaring trade as do the booths selling hot snacks.
