Walk around the city. Feel the atmosphere. Don't necessarily rush yourself into 'seeing everything'. Seeing the Parisian way of life, sitting in a good bistro or restaurant, or entering some Jazz pub is not less 'important' then seeing another museum. So just enjoy yourself there! Walk. Don't take the metro everywhere - you'll see how beautiful Paris is. Choose in advance a few highlights you want to see but if they don't work out - don't worry!
